This professional provides support and assistance to elderly people, individuals with disabilities, or those with special needs within their own homes. Primary responsibilities include helping with daily activities such as cleaning, meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene. The assistant offers companionship and emotional support, significantly improving the quality of life for the person receiving care.
The course is free of charge and open to unemployed or inactive individuals of working age who hold a middle school diploma. It includes an internship period at partner companies and a daily attendance allowance of 5.00 euros. Upon completion of the course, a vocational qualification certificate will be issued, recognized throughout the European Union.
